Our Story
Being an advocate for sustainable design, the founder of Blüne, Paige Reiche, was driven to open her own firm to contribute to changing the industry standard.
A Modern Approach
Residential energy use takes up roughly 20% of greenhouse gas emissions. Similarly, new construction contributes as well, out of the total of building materials brought to a site, 30% is construction waste.
When working for large architecture firms ,there was frequent push back on choosing sustainable alternatives to the run-of-the-mill construction materials. Because of this, Paige felt the best way for her to contribute was to start her own firm. Blüne's vision is to integrate green building practices to influence the building standard we have today.

One of the most important measures of customer service is transparency. We want to maintain our high level of communication with our clients for a number of reasons. Firstly, to make educated design decisions that suit their needs and budget. Secondly, so they aware of the zoning and permit process and its cost and time implications.
We strive to educate our clients during our time together for a better understanding of the building permit process and sustainable design. With a better understanding of building practices from both the client & contractor (if brought into the design phase), we are lead to creative solutions that are free from or have little impact on the environment.

Founder & Architectural Designer/Technologist
Paige has worked in the industry for 8 years, starting from her first co-op, building architectural models. Since then, she has worked for the City of London, Cole Engineering & WZMH Architects.
Paige was also mentoring under David R. Smith Designs before opening up her own practice in early 2020.
